Expect $5,000 to $15,000 for a peak Saturday at a hotel or dedicated rooftop venue, and many hotel rooftops replace the rental fee with a food and beverage minimum in the $10,000 to $40,000 range. Spring and fall command the premium; the same terrace in July is often significantly cheaper for obvious reasons.
Capacity is usually the deciding factor. Most Atlanta rooftops seat 80 to 150 comfortably, and the usable footprint shrinks once you place a bar, a band and a dance floor. Many couples run the ceremony and cocktail hour on the roof and move the seated dinner indoors — ask whether the indoor space is included or a separate charge.
Weather contingency on a roof is stricter than on the ground. Wind matters as much as rain: candles, lightweight florals, place cards and draping all behave differently twelve stories up, and most venues have a wind threshold at which the terrace closes. Confirm the threshold, the call time, and exactly where 150 guests go if the roof is unusable an hour before the ceremony.

Midtown is the strongest rooftop area in the city — the skyline sits directly in frame, and hotel and restaurant terraces there are built for events rather than adapted for them.
Downtown offers height and the classic skyline-plus-stadium view, generally with larger buildings, dedicated elevators and better freight access for load-in.
Buckhead delivers the polished hotel rooftop with full service and valet, while the Westside and Old Fourth Ward provide lower, more industrial terraces with a looser, city-neighborhood feel and often more flexible catering.
